Moving Toward Dynamic Technologies

Moving Toward Dynamic Technologies

I currently teach first grade at a charter school. Right now all I have to work with is static technology. I use some online educational websites, but this is far as the dynamic technology goes in my classroom. I do see me moving toward dynamic technology once I’m at a school with more resources and funding. I feel it won’t be a problem for me to implement dynamic technology into the curriculum because I’m familiar with it.

I do use dynamic technology at home and here at Walden. I like the wikis to share information. I remember a time when we had to email the files back and forth to make changes. I use Skype to talk to my roommates from college. We let talk and let our children show their things (awards, toys, clothes, etc…). As far as distance education is concern, I’m in static technology. I won’t say I’m an expert but through my studies I have become very familiar with the most of the current dynamic technology. I know through trial and error I have learned a lot. I plan to use my knowledge of dynamic technology to help my secure another position in my field.

This blog basically says that dynamic technology is the way to communicate. It tells how companies are using dynamic communication to build credibility and influence action. It allows them to provide updated information and build communities.
CLASSMATES MIND MAPS:
I liked Ametha mind map. She use Britanncia website as a static content generation. I think we forget about encyclepedias all together sometimes because of the Internet. I found some encyclepedias at my school and I assigned an animal to each one of my students and had them do a book report using the encyclepedia. If you think about it this is where all the content came from when we originally when we was first introduced to researching.
On Laverne's mind map she had digital games as static. I think this could be in dynamic technoloy especially with all these new PSP's and Nintendo gaming devices. Your able to connect wireless to play, text and take pictures with these devices instantly.

  1. Kayla,
I love your mind map. I find that as I researched some of the mind maps of my classmates that many of us think similar when it comes to static versus dynamic. I have always been static in terms of communication and teaching. Only recently, have I tried to venture out of the static box and into the dynamic arena. There is alot to learn and much to do before becoming dynamic especially when you have a hard time understanding technology.
